Bosh, Durant concede best on paper to Lakers
Recently Chris Bosh and Kevin Durant have conceded that the Los Angeles Lakers have the best team in the NBA “on paper” with their acquisitions of Steve Nash and Dwight Howard to play with Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol.
I have no idea why these two would say such a thing. It’s just my opinion that the teams that have LeBron and Durant on them are the best two teams in the NBA “on paper”. Nash and Kobe have been so great, but lets face it they are not young anymore. Especially Nash, now I know that he averaged a double double last season. That doesn’t stop me from believing a team with a young athletic Russell Westbrook at the point guard position is better, right or wrong. Howard has been a complete donkey for a long time and nothing makes me believe that will stop in L.A. Did Shaq and Kobe get along, no way. The result will be the same if not worse with Howard, who by all accounts has a me-first superstar attitude.
Preseason predictions mean little one way or another, but If I am forced to pick one (and don’t want to be biased and pick the Knicks) then it’s Thunder beating the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals and facing LeBron and the Heat in the Finals for a second year straight. LeBron is the best player in the world and is an unselfish superstar and that looks better on paper to me than the Lakers super team.
Not to mention LeBron plays with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers, Ray Allen. Lakers are superior at center, but James wins playing small ball because of his versatility.
Check out his rise to the top in the video below, they should be the favorite.
